Vi-zə-bəl Teks-chərs (Visible Textures) is a chapbook of approximately 25 poems. These poems are somewhat inspired by the tensions and contrasts between 1854 Indian Reservation map of Kansas and a 2013 highway map of Kansas. The poems are lyrically sound and take moments to evoke methodologies familiar in digital disciplines. Using GPS (global positioning software) technologies, the poems explore the public histories of Kansas and the Santa Fe Trail. These poems about memory and migration are in conversation with public histories and the American imagination about the frontier.
These poems can be purchased with Mammoth Publications.
